A penny sparrow is, according to the Bible, something considered relatively worthless. In fact, if you bought one sparrow, they'd throw the second one in for free, buy one get one. A sparrow wasn't worth much, if anything. The poorest of the poor, in Biblical times, would sacrifice a bird, sometimes referred to as a sparrow, if he couldn't offer up anything else. Jesus said the Heavenly Father looked out for even the little sparrows, caring for them, those things others considered almost worthless.
This blog, our blog, is about our sparrows, two children tossed away by society, sitting in an orphanage, imperfect and deemed almost worthless, yet loved by the Heaven Father. He has asked us to look after them, to care for them. This blog is about our journey, to bring our penny sparrows home.
